L’abstraction de mes peintures est malgré tout attachée à une unité terrienne où l’équilibre fondamental entre les formes et les couleurs se retrouve dans les forces énergétiques. Voyager intensément m’a permis de trouver une “perspective de sentiments” dans mon travail. Chaque pays a un pouvoir émotif auquel je ne peux pas me soustraire. Chaque objet, chaque paysage, fait naître une sensation dont j’ai besoin pour peindre, sans avoir à peindre l’objet ou le paysage. En peignant, je m’en remets à l’instant, à mon émotion momentanée, fugitive, cruelle ou contenue, dont le papier ou la toile est le support de sa représentation.
The abstract spirit of my paintings is above all linked to a tellurian unity where the fundamental balance between forms and colours can be found in the energetic forces of the earth. Intense travelling has given me the chance to find a “sentimental perspective” in my work. Every country has a different emotional power which I find irresistible. Every object, every landscape gives me a feeling that I need for creating, but without having to actually paint that object or that landscape. While painting or designing, I transmit in the very moment, a fugitive emotion, cruel or subdued, of which canvas or paper is the base for its representation.
